There is a difference between a toy and a game. Yeah. And you want me to define that difference. Uh, a toy is a, is a thing we play with without a goal. We create our own goals and we can ch-, arbitrarily change it. We can create our own rules and we arbitrarily change those rules. A game has a defined set of rules and it has an objective and it has obstacles in the way of that objective. And that difference is fundamental. If we no longer can imagine when we’re playing with a toy, goals that we want to invent for ourselves with that toy or put rules upon our use of it that st-, that creates stimulating situations, uh, we will bore of that toy. Um, the, the game will not bore us if it’s done well as long as it’s fair and it’s sufficiently complex that we have not seen all of its permutations. Once we’ve seen all the permutations of the game, we’ll get bored with it.
