I think one of the great things about politicians and religious leaders who are bringing scrutiny to games is, in many ways, they take games more seriously than game creators do. And they're actually paying a very high compliment; they're saying, This medium will impact people and we want you to behave in a different way, whereas a lot of game makers do this kind of clown-nose on, clown-nose off act where when its convenient we'll say, They just games. Ah yes. Come on, they're just games, lighten up! And when we want to be taken seriously take the clown nose off and say, No, we're a serious medium. You should listen to what we say. And I think we need to fess up and get rid of the clown nose act and just say, No. We're a medium, the same as any other art form. We can make crappy entertainment and war can also make high art, and we gotta take responsibility for it either way.
