Um, for me, the - like, the gauge of a successful or good game is how immersed they can make me in the experience, um, and how they can draw emotion out of me. Um, so, I - like, it's true while I'm playing games, I'm always, uh, looking at it, like, from the - you know, from a creator's standpoint, like oh wow, that's interesting that - or how did they do that. Um, I remember I was - recently played through Uncharted 4 and there's a few times where I was just really blown away by the technical side of things on that, like, wow, there's - there's a loading screen at the start, but you never see a loading screen again for the whole ga - you can play the entire game. It's really incredible. Or - or you're, like - you're standing and they're, like, oh yeah, you have to go to that volcano back there, and it's so far away, and you're like, is this level actually - am I actually going to go, like, travel through this level all the way to that thing that's, like, so far away? And then, you do it and um - and it fee - it almost - uh, yeah, so I'm - so, I'm - I'm always, like, conscious of that stuff, but what's more important to me is the emotional journey that occurs, uh, throughout the game. It's kind of the same - the same feeling I have towards other media like movies or television. Like, if - if a - if a - if a piece of media can make me feel something, that's how I gauge its success. And um, with games similar to TV and movies, there's a lot of range of emotions that a game can, uh - can make you go through. Like, there's horror games that make you feel scared. There's - there's, uh - uh, like I - I still play a lot of Destiny because I really get a - you know, an adrenaline - an adrenaline rush, from - I think there's some Destiny players here - I get an adrenaline rush every time I'm playing online or every time I'm doing, like, a - a raid or something like that. So, or - or, there's also, like, a social aspect to it, like, when you're playing with your friends and you accomplish something that's really hard, like, we've wiped ten times on this guy and then we beat it. And there's, like, this really - uh, a sense of gratification. So, uh - uh, yeah, so for me, number one thing is, like, the emotional response to - to what I'm playing.
