You have to be a lot more disciplined in games when you're writing, because the players don't want to hear to much of it. They don't want their gameplay interrupted, and so you have just a second to jump in and make a joke. It taught me to edit. I had to get all my writing down and you don't want to have non-interactive parts of your game if you don't have to. And so it taught me to really hone the words down as much as I could, which is good for any writing, just people don't complain about it in a book as much, wow, it's 800 pages long. But in a game you get three lines and they throw the controller down.
