First off, it's a game. I want the players to have fun and feel good. That's the most important thing. And I hope they would want to play the game day after day, or want to hurry home to play the game. That's the basic idea. But not only that, I want to the players to take what they experienced inside the game into their real life and find it useful. Knowledge they obtained, or emotions they felt, I want those to be useful in their real life. That's why I always try to include a theme or a message in my games. For example, in the game Metal Gear Solid I raised nuclear and social issues. I want the players to learn about these issues through my games and make use of that knowledge in their life outside of the game. I've always created games like that and I intend to do so in the future as well.
